Welcome to a full evening at Djurönäset with a Christmas buffet and Christmas concert with Anders Ekborg.
That Anders Ekborg is associated with Christmas is no surprise to those who have ever experienced his “Silent Christmas.” With a rich repertoire of songs and stories, he weaves together tradition and personality into a concert experience that goes far beyond just the music. For many, his voice and presence are synonymous with Christmas peace and warmth.
Anders Ekborg needs no introduction for most in Sweden, having made a success in historical musical productions such as Kristina från Duvemåla, Chess in Swedish, As It Is in Heaven, among others, a number of films and TV roles (Santa Claus is the Father of All Children, among others) he is known to most of us.
This year’s tour is focused on the intimate meeting between Anders and his fellow musicians’ meeting with the audience. This year they consist of a trio on stage with long-time colleague and partner Bengt Magnusson on guitar and the talented Gustaf Henriksson on keyboard. They promise to take the audience on an unforgettable journey through Christmas’s most iconic songs and personal stories.
But “A Silent Christmas” is more than just a concert. It is a heartfelt tribute to the Christmas message of love, community, and hope. With charisma that shines on stage and a love for his audience, he continues to carry on a cherished tradition that touches and enchants generation after generation.
It is absolutely fine to book the Christmas concert without the Christmas buffet, just as you can book the Christmas buffet without the concert this evening (but we of course recommend a combination).
