Per Tegnér - Rymdstyrelsen
“We were looking for a large facility. It needed to be outside of town, but not too far”, explains Per Tegnér, general director of the Space Commission, which is responsible for all research and development of government-financed space activity.
“Our seminars are a national meeting place for people who work with ‘long distance analyses’, for example satellite pictures. We require a very large assembly hall and a number of smaller rooms because spontaneous meetings always pop up when you gather this many creative people in the same place.
There were 160 people at our last meeting, staying for two nights. We were very happy to find Djurönäset. Everything is of an excellent standard, from the food to the wonderful service. But most of all because it is so beautiful out here. Sure the earth is beautiful seen from a satellite, but you feel it just that little bit extra when you can experience the sea breeze on your face at the same time. We are very satisfied!”
